This 10 cm wide strip of fabric is woven on an extra narrow loom and therefore has very neatly finished edges and is woven in a herringbone pattern. The herringbone is a historic weave and is particularly well-suited to the making of re-enactment accessories. Sold in rolls of 7 metres, the strip of fabric is well-suited to making your own leg wrappings (7 metres is sufficient for 1 pair), belts, decorated sleeves and decorating garment hems. Herringbone fabrics were a symbol of status in the Early and High Middle Ages.
