Historical Beer Mug, 0.5l with wooden cap

The historical beer mug is fitted with a wooden lid. Crafted in the traditional medieval manner, it has a 0,5L volume. Each piece is handmade on the potter's wheel from ochery clay and fired to a temperature of 1.200°C.

Greenware is pottery with a green glazed layer applied to the complete surface or parts thereof. This type of pottery was already in use around the 13th century, principally on the British Isles. In the 14th century, 10 to 20% of all the pottery employed in London consisted of greenware. On the mainland of Europe, greenware's popularity increased from the 15th century onwards.
