Product description
These timeless shoes were worn from the Stone Age through to classical antiquity, the early Middle Ages, and possibly even later. Several originals of this type of sandal have been found, amongst them an early medieval example from Ireland. Whilst these sandals were highly popular in antiquity across all social classes, in the Middle Ages they were primarily regarded as the footwear of the simple rural population. The sandals are well-suited to a historical costume or LARP, yet are equally sturdy, modern-quality shoes well-suited to everyday summer wear. Crafted from leather, these sandals feature a rubber sole that offers extra protection against slipping.
