Product description
The historical green cup, crafted from orchery clay, is a replica based on archaeological finds. It has been authentically handmade on the potter's wheel. The edge is glazed with a green colour and is suitable for consumption and the dishwasher. It has a diameter of 4 cm and is 5 cm high.
Greenware is pottery with a green glazed layer on the complete surface or parts thereof. This type of pottery was already in use around the 13th century, principally on the British Isles. In the 14th century, 10 to 20% of all the pottery employed in London consisted of greenware. On the mainland of Europe, greenware's popularity increased from the 15th century onward.
