Product description
Many historical peoples wore a horsehair tail on their helmets, including: the Greeks, Roman auxiliae and Celts wore the hair in a ponytail at the tip of the helmet. Whilst this horsehair may be employed to recreate a helmet crest of the kind the ancient Greeks and Romans often wore, an original example of such a crest was found near Hadrian's Wall in Northern England.
