Product description
The shirt has been crafted according to historically inspired patterns of the Landsknecht, a fashion style from the late 15th century. It is not certain where this fashion came from, but historians suggest that landsknechts began cutting their clothing because it was too tight to fight in. Thus, this style emerged alongside the famous mercenaries. Constructed from robust, high-quality cotton, the loose fit permits freedom of movement whilst fighting your opponents. The lace-up front can be closed on cooler days. The wide cuffs are detailed with buttons that mimic cattle horns. The shirt need not be used solely for portraying landsknechts — it is also well-suited to costumes of nobility, merchants or pirates. Particularly well-suited to a LARP gathering or medieval festival.
