Product description
A fürspan (also fürspang) is a brooch from the High and Late Middle Ages, mainly in use in the 13th-14th centuries, with which the neck opening of the cotte - the medieval undergarment of both men and women - was closed. This large version, decorated with small glass inlays in alternation green and red, is based on medieval six-step furspans.
Performed in silvered bronze, with a size of 5.5 x 5.5 cm. Because of the generous size This furspan, unlike the usually small ones, is also suitable for a cloak or wams of coarser weave.
A nice addition to your equipment for reenactment from the High Middle Ages.
