The buckler is a small shield, often made of wood or metal, with a shield boss as reinforcement in the centre. It was used from the thirteenth to the seventeenth century, so during the Middle Ages and Renaissance. During close combat with a rapier, knife, dagger or sword, the buckler was used in combination to deflict attacks from the opponent, or to attack and hit the opponent hard.
This LARP buckler is painted lifelike and resembles the originals with a wooden surface and metal shield boss. On the back it has a handle that is wrapped with leather, so that you can hold it well and comfortably. An essential attribute for your historic LARP character during battles.
