Product description
The leaf-shaped spearhead is a replica of Early Medieval Germanic originals.
Spears of this type were called framms by the Germanic peoples, whilst the Romans referred to them as framea. This type of spear was amongst the most important weapons of the Germanic tribes and was employed both for thrusting and throwing.
During this period, similar spearheads were also utilised by Celtic tribes and Roman auxiliaries. Spearheads of this kind were later adopted by the Vikings as well.
