The Mempo was a type of face protection traditionally worn by samurai in feudal Japan. The leather Mempo is particularly well-suited to samurai, ninja or assassin outfits, as well as various LARP costumes such as post-apocalyptic or Asian characters.
The leather half mask extends from the nose to the chin. At the mouth it features four slits so that breathing is maintained comfortably whilst preventing heat from building up beneath the mask. It may be fastened behind the head by means of leather straps.
