Product description
The leg wrappings are based on early medieval originals. Archaeology shows that leg wrappings were worn in the Germanic regions from the 2nd century AD. Leg wrappings were worn by the Romans at Hadrian's Wall, the Byzantines, Franks, Alemanni, Bavarians, Wends (Slavs), Normans, Vikings and others from Central and Northern Europe. Felt, wool, linen and leather were amongst the materials most commonly employed. The fabric features a beautiful historical herringbone motif. The leg wrappings may be fastened with the cotton ribbons included in the parcel. They are supplied per pair.
