Product description
Bags of this type were worn throughout the Middle Ages: from the Viking era until the Late Middle Ages. The bag is well-suited to use as a High Medieval pilgrim's bag, or a Viking bag for loaves of bread.
The bag is based upon depictions from the Manesse Codex. Regarding the Viking era, similar models have been excavated at Birka, Haithabu and Wurt Elisenhof.
