Product description
In the Middle Ages, women covered their hair with a veil, hat, cap or wimple. Showing the hair was decidedly not considered decent. Only ladies without a low social status, such as prostitutes, walked about with uncovered hair. Examples of medieval hair coverings for women may be seen in medieval books of hours, stained glass windows and on painted panels. This wimple may be worn in different ways, and a few examples can be seen in the images. It may be worn historically correctly for reenactment, or as a turban or in any other manner you prefer for LARP, Cosplay or festivals.
