Product description
These 15th century Maximilian armour mittens feature multiple hinged plates to improve mobility, well-suited to historical reenactments.
In gauntlets, the fingers are protected by long plates that cover all the fingers except the thumb. This design creates a stronger and more rigid construction than the smaller, separate plates employed in articulated gauntlets. Whilst mittens offer this structural advantage, they do restrict movement more than regular gauntlets.
For added comfort and improved shock absorption, these gloves are lined with supple suede leather. Crafted from 16 gauge steel by hand, the total length of one glove is approximately 34 cm (laid flat), making them well-suited to almost all sizes.
