Product description
The medieval fork is based on various originals. This model was already in use amongst the Romans; an original forms part of the collection of the British Museum. It was also utilised by the Vikings, as evidenced by the original held at the
National Museum of Reykjavik. Meat forks of this type are depicted in the Medieval Maciejowski Bible. Crafted from iron, the fork features a claw which permits the removal of meat from stews. A particularly well-suited addition to every re-enactment or living history kitchen.
