Product description
Foot soldiers and knights often wore helmets such as the secreta. Medieval foot soldiers frequently wore this inexpensive type of helmet separately, whilst the knights wore it beneath the great helmet. Later, in the 16th century, the lansquenets wore this type of helmet beneath their fashionable hats. In the 17th century, at the close of the Eighty Years' War, cavalrymen often wore this type of helmet under their hat.
