Product description
Only from the 11th century did medieval swords develop a cross-guard, and the design remained the same throughout the period of the Crusades: a cross shape with a slim blade where the pommel could take different forms.
The carbon steel blade is forged into the grip and fastened to the pommel. A fuller runs over the largest part of the blade, providing flexibility and balance. The disc pommel and cross-guard are both constructed from steel. The sword measures 88 cm in length, the blade measuring 70 cm, and it weighs 1,600 grams.
The sword is an Oakeshott type Xa.
The sword is well-suited to light sword fights.
