The model building kit has been designed after Roman city maps from the 1st and 2nd century AD. The kit is of average difficulty and is crafted from A3 carton. The Roman city model is approx. 42 cm long and constructed on a scale of 1:87. Roman cities followed a uniform city plan, which meant that Romans from other cities could easily find their way around. The layout also permitted the city to be defended with relative ease during times of war. In the centre of the model city stands a bronze statue: possibly a senator or politician from the area. The streets are tiled with long tiles — typically Roman — with high pavements. The centre features a temple, and the building adjacent to it houses several shops with the characteristic Roman counters. The street is lined with two fine villas, each with a spacious inner garden (atrium) and a pond. Amongst the kit's most engaging features, one can look inside the buildings themselves!
