Product description
A beautifully designed seax for modern and historical Vikings! The seax features a broken back blade, just like the historical seaxes employed by the Germanic tribes during the Great Migrations. During the early Middle Ages, the seax was an essential weapon amongst the Vikings, owing to its great manoeuvrability and light weight. Seaxes were worn by Vikings during battle in the hope of gaining access to Valhalla in the afterlife. The dragon motif burnt into the wooden handle by means of pyrography symbolises the courage and lust for war of the Viking warriors. The seax is dispatched complete with a gorgeous leather sheath bearing a dragon motif.
