Product description
The sallet (also called celata, salad or schaller) was a combat helmet that replaced the bascinet in Italy, Western and Northern Europe and Hungary in the mid-15th century. The Armet was also popular in Italy, France and England, but in Germany the sallet became almost universal. A sallet can be worn with a bevor in different ways, from straight on the head with open visor for optimal field of vision to diagonally on the head with closed visor for maximum protection.
This sallet is made from steel, 1.6 mm, with an antique finish. Suitable for re-enactment and HEMA, can possibly be combined with a vor.
