Product description
Nose helmets like these were worn from the early Middle Ages until the 12th century, including by Vikings and Normans. The nose protector (nasal) protects the face against sword blows without restricting the field of vision too much, and made the nose helmet one of the most commonly used helmet types of that period.
This nose helmet is made from steel, 16 gauge (approximately 1.6 mm) — a lighter version than the 12-gauge variant. Suitable for re-enactment and HEMA, Can possibly be combined with a chain mail camail or coif.
