Olive wood has several unique properties: it has a beautiful grain pattern, is very hard and therefore not easily damaged, and does not absorb odors quickly, preventing the wood from developing a smell. Spoons like this were mainly used in the Mediterranean region. It is ideal as a cooking spoon and spatula for historical cooking.
