Product description
The pauldrons are crafted in the style of the S18 suit of armour from the armoury of Churburg Castle in Northern Italy. Characteristic of this particular set are its integrated besagews, which protect the armpits. The S18 suit of armour was made between 1370 and 1410, presumably in Milan, and was the property of the Von Matsch family. It represents an early development of the "Milanese" style of white armour, which would become popular amongst Italian knights throughout the 15th century. The pauldrons have a steel thickness of 1.6 mm, making them well-suited to reenactment battles. They come with arming points to permit easy attachment to an arming doublet or chainmail, with leather cord or aiglet laces.
