Product description
During the Middle Ages and Renaissance, women wore an underskirt beneath the dress. The underskirt or petticoat provided extra warmth to the legs and gave the dress additional volume and a pleasing silhouette, with an edge that protruded beneath the main fabric.
The petticoat is crafted from 100% fine cotton and features ruffles on the lower skirt section. These permit the garment to fall in soft folds, giving the dress worn over it greater volume. The skirt is fitted with an elasticated waistband, ensuring it is comfortable to wear.
