Product description
The shoulder bag is based on images found in medieval illuminated manuscripts and stained glass windows. Shoulder bags were a common type of bag during the Middle Ages and served as a practical alternative to the smaller pouches or belt bags. People could store more items in shoulder bags, which proved especially useful for those embarking on a long journey such as a pilgrimage. Even in everyday life it was sometimes useful to carry a larger bag; farmers, for instance, would take food with them whilst going out to work on the land. Pilgrims decorated their bags with pilgrim badges. Crafted from sturdy cotton, the bag is well-suited to medieval re-enactment, LARP, and Cosplay. The 6 cm wide strap is decorated with a handsome braid pattern. The bag also features three decorative tassels at the bottom.
