The pirate blouse is inspired by typical late Renaissance and early baroque fashion. The blouse has wide sleeves, emphasised by the ruffle at the wrist, which can be fastened so that the sleeves remain out of the way. The top of the blouse is adjustable, and may be worn with open shoulders or as a normal blouse with covered shoulders.
The wide, loose style of this blouse is well-suited to re-enactment, LARP and Cosplay of Pirates, musketeers, and other Renaissance and Baroque characters.
