The cross-guard is crafted from stainless steel for use with training waisters. It increases the weight of the grip by 112 grams and raises the point of balance to 4" below the cross-guard.
The cross-guard is manufactured by Red Dragon Armouries and has been designed for training waisters. These plastic swords can be assembled by the user, permitting a choice of ideal balance and weight. The swords are intended for Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA).
Red Dragon training swords and parts have been designed for Historical European Martial Arts. The training swords are constructed from plastics, with RVS components employed in some cases to make the sword heavier. The blades are constructed from plastic, yet are produced so as to achieve a flexibility and toughness similar to that of normal swords. As a result, they are more lifelike than wooden swords or even federschwerter. Our training swords consist of: blade, cross-guard or guard, grip, and pommel. Every model shares the same tang, so every part may be exchanged, allowing you to assemble your own perfect sword.
