Product description
A fine Renaissance dagger by Windlass Steelcrafts, with a silver-plated hilt and including scabbard. Well-suited to Renaissance reenactment and collectors of medieval and Renaissance daggers. The dagger is an exact replica of an original featured in the book European Daggers by Bashford Dean. The original was crafted around 1590 and worn on a belt for close combat on the battlefield. It served also as a status symbol, worn with historical garments for self-defence. The semi-sharp blade is constructed from 1055 carbon steel with a hardness of 48–52 HRC and is supplied including scabbard. Whilst blunted, the blade is particularly well-suited to Historical European Martial Arts.
