Trousers of this style were worn predominantly during the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. The design has been inspired by the historical Pluderhose, as well as the sixteenth-century trunk hoses worn throughout northern Europe, and is also based on the Landsknecht trousers. As such, these trousers are well-suited to Renaissance, sixteenth-century and Landsknecht re-enactment. The trousers consist of two colours, in keeping with the historical designs, and are cut extra wide above the knee. Below the knee the fit falls tighter, so that the puff is emphasised. The trousers are supplied with a set of brown leg wrappings, which may be worn separately or bound around the lower legs. Handy pockets are included: two small pockets at the front and several deep pockets. Six belt loops permit a comfortable fit with your belt, whilst the waistband is slightly elasticated for additional comfort. The trousers are available in a children's size (6–10 years) and for adults (S up to XXXL).
