The ring belt is a universal belt worn from the early Middle Ages through to the late Middle Ages. Wearing a belt was essential during this period owing to the loose fit of garments. By employing a belt, ladies and men could emphasise their shapes and achieve a closer fit. Bags, knives and other utensils were also fastened to the belt so that everything remained quickly to hand. The closure consists of a metal ring fixed in the leather with a brass pin. The belt is closed by passing the end through the ring and tying it — simple and efficient. Particularly well-suited to all historical re-enactment, LARP and Cosplay costumes, the ring belt combines effortlessly with any outfit, thanks to its straightforward design.
