Roman caligae with nails. The model is based on caligae excavated in Castleford (GB) and Valkenburg (NL) — the footwear worn by Roman legionaries. The soles are equipped with 7 mm long iron nails. The sandals are crafted from naturally tanned light brown leather. Available in sizes 39–45.

Maintenance and care
Just as with weapons, your shoes and leather goods may be cared for by applying a little Ballistol after cleaning. This prevents the leather from drying out.
This article is produced in a limited edition only, which means that every piece is unique. Sizes and finish may vary slightly per piece.
Packed with 100% recycled material
For the packaging of this article we only use 100% recycled plastic and recycled paper/cardboard from FSC-certified forests. We immediately reuse a large part of the material, without the intervention of a recycling process.
Recycle the material by separating your waste:
1. Cardboard: Separate or reuse your paper.
2. Plastic cushions, clothing bags and plastic tape: separate or reuse your plastic. If possible, pierce the cushions with a volume editor needle.
3. Paper packaging for jewellery and small objects: these have a plastic inner layer. Remove it and then separate the paper and plastic.
