When packing this item, we exclusively use 100% recycled plastic and recycled paper/cardboard sourced from FSC certified forests. A large portion of the material we reuse directly without recycling process intervention. Recycle the material by separating your waste.

1. Cardboard: separate or reuse paper.
2. Plastic cushions, garment bags and plastic tape: separate or reuse plastic. Optionally pierce the cushions with a needle for volume reduction.
3. Paper packaging for jewelry and small items: have a plastic inner layer. Remove this, and then separate paper and plastic.

Fuel usage

Use this oil lamp exclusively with suitable natural fuels, such as olive oil. The use of other fuels can damage the lamp and lead to dangerous situations.

Fire hazard

Warning! Fire hazard. Never leave the lamp unattended while burning and always place it on a heat-resistant, stable surface. Keep the lamp away from flammable materials.

Do not use mineral lamp oil

Warning! This replica of a historical oil lamp is not suitable for mineral-based lamp oil. Mineral lamp oil can pose serious health risks if ingested or if vapours are inhaled, including chemical pneumonia.

Therefore, use only vegetable oil, such as olive oil.

Important information

The European standard DIN EN 14059 sets minimum safety requirements for decorative oil lamps. Due to their historical design, authentic replicas of antique oil lamps do not meet these modern construction requirements.

These oil lamps are designed for use with vegetable oils, such as olive oil. When olive oil is used correctly, there is no health risk from inhalation of vapours or accidental ingestion of the fuel.
