This one fibula is the replica of a Roman pin from the first half of the 3rd century, which was especially popular in the East Germanic provinces of the Roman Empire and in Free Germania.

Performed in bronze, with a size of 3 x 2.5 cm.

The pelta-fibula was part of Romano-Germanic women's costume and served to attach the peplos, the ancient women's robe, to the shoulders. The name refers to the crescent-shaped pelta, a light shield shape from ancient Greece. An authentic addition to your Roman reenactment kit.
