Product description
This ring is an exact replica of a Roman key ring. Togas had no pockets, so wealthy Romans simply wore the key to their treasure chest on their finger — safe, and always at hand.
Wearing such a ring was a sign of status: it revealed that you had something of value stored away. Some examples were so richly decorated that they no longer worked and served purely for show. The ring is cast in lead-free tin and the size is adjustable.
Supplied in a gift box with information card. The original can be seen in the Corinium Museum in Cirencester.
