Product description

The shield is crafted from approximately 13mm thick plywood, covered with linen and richly decorated with hand-painted Celtic crosses with knot motifs. An umbo is mounted in the centre of the shield, securely attached with four rivets. The reverse of the shield is painted black and features a sturdy wooden handle. Whilst this wooden shield is a little too light and thin for full contact sword fighting, it remains an excellent accessory for reenactment, LARP, stage or television and film. It is equally well-suited to display as a fine collection or exhibition piece, and serves as a decorative object for all those who are passionate about history and the Celts.
