The braies were the underpants of the medieval period. They were worn by men beneath their trousers or beneath their hose. Over the centuries, underpants became more elaborate, but originally they reached to the knees or even to the ground. Braies may be seen in various medieval manuscripts and on statues, such as the sculptures at Reims Cathedral.
These braies are fitted with a drawstring at the waist, permitting adjustment to your size. They are crafted from linen and are exceptionally comfortable. Aiglets are included for attaching chausses.
