Product description
The helmet is crafted after a helmet housed in Prague Castle, which is said to have belonged to Saint Wenceslaus I. Wenceslaus was a Czech king from the early 10th century. It is one of the first cone-shaped helmets constructed in one piece, which at the time began to replace the weaker Spangenhelms. The beautifully riveted, cross-shaped nose guard is certainly striking. On the original, the nose guard is richly decorated, but a simple version is offered here so that adjustments may be made as you see fit. The helmet is well-suited to warriors from the 10th century onwards, providing excellent protection. At 2 mm thick, it is particularly well-suited to reenactment battles, Bohurt and HEMA.
