Product description
The burgonet is an open combat helmet from the Renaissance and early modern period, the successor to the sallet. It is recognisable by the fixed pike above the face opening and the distinctive comb that runs from front to back over the skull. Hinged cheek pieces protect the sides of the head without obstructing vision.
This Scottish burgonet is made of 1.6 mm steel and lined on the inside with leather for comfortable wear. The lightweight construction offers excellent vision and yet full protection on the battlefield.
