Product description
The claymore (from Gaelic claideamh-mor, great sword) was a Celtic two-handed sword that was typically 150 cm or longer. This length rendered it exceedingly difficult for opponents to approach. The claymore often featured a long, leather-covered ricasso, so that the warrior could place both hands upon the blade whilst his enemy drew close. The earliest claymores were employed in the 16th century, the latest in the 18th century. This claymore is fitted with a brass pommel and crossguard, and is constructed with a wooden grip wrapped in leather.
