The handmade seax blade is crafted from 1095 carbon steel with a hardness of 58–60 HRC, modelled after originals employed by the Anglo-Saxons between the 9th and 11th centuries. Skrama seaxes were widely used amongst all Germanic tribes and by the Vikings. This model is based upon an original discovered in the Viking city of Jorvik.
