The short spearhead is a replica of an original excavated in France. Originally this type of spearhead was employed from the 8th to 11th century. They were occasionally decorated (engraved or painted). Spearheads of this kind were used by the Vikings, Franks, Carolingians, Merovingians and Anglo-Saxons.
