Recommended combination
Product description
The spaulders are based on late Gothic originals. They were often combined with a pair of besagues to protect the inside of the armpit. Spaulders are narrow shoulder pieces that are attached to a gambeson, hauberk, or gorget. These armour components differ from pauldrons, as pauldrons are wider and also cover parts of the armpit.
They are crafted in the German style and consist of six overlapping plates. These shoulder pieces can be easily attached to the bevor or aventail. They measure 40 cm in length and are sold as a pair.
