Product description

The Slavic rings are a replica of various Early Medieval originals. Rings of this kind were employed by the Slavic, Germanic, Frankish and Alamanic peoples to weave into the hair. Such rings were found amongst Germanic graves in southern Germany and were utilised well into the 12th century. They were often woven into the hair in pairs or even more at the temples — hence the name 'temple ring'. These rings represent an early medieval form of hair decoration.
