Product description
These Slavic rings are a replica of various Early Medieval originals. Rings such as these were employed by Slavic, Germanic, Frankish and Alamanic peoples to weave into the hair. The rings were found amongst Germanic graves in southern Germany and remained in use well into the 12th century. They were often woven into the hair in pairs or even greater numbers at the temples — hence the name 'temple ring'. The rings constitute an early medieval form of hair decoration.
