The sporran is a bag traditionally worn on the Scottish kilt. For kilts without pockets, it serves as a place where personal items may be stored. The sporran hangs in front of the loins, though it can also be worn on the side should that prove more practical.
The sporran is technically developed from the European medieval belt bag, and remains one of the few forms of this bag still in use today.
This sporran features three leather tassels and is decorated with a leather braid motif. It fastens by means of a supplied pin. The bag comes with a chain to hang the sporran around the kilt.
