Product description
The surcoat is a garment worn over a suit of armour or hauberk, employed for protection against heat and dust. Whilst a surcoat was not worn, the armour beneath could burn. This surcoat bears a depiction of the Templars' cross, the knightly order that was banned in 1307 when Philip the Fair, deeply indebted to them, sought to seize their wealth. The surcoat is also available for Hospitaller knights (a white cross on a black background) and the Teutonic knights (a black cross on a white background).
Crafted from cotton, the surcoat measures approximately 135 cm in length and is suited to all sizes.
