Product description

Tunics of this kind were basic garments worn by men from the Early to Late Middle Ages throughout Europe. They may be worn separately or as an undertunic. In cold climates they were combined with trousers and leg wrappings.

In certain eras, the length of the tunic designated the social status of the wearer. In Ancient Rome, the tunic was worn in an airy and simple style with a basic design. The Vikings and Germanic peoples wore their tunic less airily, with an undertunic, long sleeves, trousers and leg wrappings against the cold.

This size chart is measured on the garment itself, not on the wearer’s body. Measurements are in centimeters. Measure your chest circumference first. Add extra room to this for a comfortable fit.: Normal fit: add 8–12 cm to your chest circumference. Loose fit / broad shoulders: add 12–19 cm to your chest circumference. Compare the result with the size chart and choose the size whose chest measurement is equal to or greater than your calculated size. Example: If your chest circumference is 100 cm and you want a normal fit, add about 10 cm of extra room. This gives you approximately 110 cm. Then choose the size whose chest measurement in the size chart is at least 110 cm.
