Product description
Aventails of this type were worn across Europe during the 15th and 16th centuries. In the 16th century, the design was immensely popular amongst the German Landsknecht and the Scottish and Irish Galloglass. This style of aventail is also known as a Bishop's Mantle. It is fitted with leather straps and replica buckles. The lower side of the collar is constructed from brass chainmail. The aventail is crafted from butted rings in a 1:4 pattern.
