Product description
The Roman scutum has been crafted after several examples of originals from the 1st century AD. Around this period, shields had a rectangular shape.
The shield is 1.2 cm thick and constructed from several layers of wood. It is covered with undyed linen. The shield may be painted in your favourite colours, and is well-suited to both modern and historical paints. The back is strengthened with narrow wooden slats. The shield can be carried with a grip behind the umbo. Its height is 108 cm, its width is 88 cm (including the curve), and it weighs 7 kg.
