Shin guards like these were worn by Germanic warriors from the flag period and occurred until the Viking time. An original was found in a ship's grave of a Germanic king near the holy city of Uppsala. This replica is based on Valsgärde Scheepsgraf 8. These shin guards are ideal for early medieval reenactment.
